Air was commissioned by the Centro Mexicano para la Música y las Artes Sonoras (CMMAS) and premiered by Wendy Holdaway in Morelia, Mexico, on May 8 2012. It was composed during a residency at CMMAS in 2012, and in the composer’s studio.
